When we took out our Christmas decorations out of storage this year, I pulled out a fuzzy, red buffalo check throw. Immediately I thought of all of the new colours in the We Crochet Fable Fur line. And so, the buffalo check pillow was born!

MATERIALS
8.0mm Hook
WeCrochet’s Fable Fur
Topo – 2 skeins
Hibou – 2 skeins
Eisbar – 1 skein
Corvo – 1 skeins
(about 1 skein per colour/side)
20” Pillow Form
Yarn Needle & Scissors
GAUGE & SIZE
2.5 rows x 6 st in HDC = 4” square
Finished pillow will be 20×20”
NOTES
- Starting ch1 does not count as stitch.
- Colour work done using fair isle method. Carry other colours behind the work as the back is not seen.
- Colour changes: Work stitch to last 2 loops on hook, yo with new color and pull through.
- If working in another colour palette, C1=lightest colour, C2=medium colour, C3= dark colour.

Side A
Loosely ch 31 in C2
ROW 1 SC in 2nd loop from hook, SC in each st across, turn. (31)
ROW 2 Ch 1, HDC in next 5 sts, *with C3, HDC in next 7 sts,** with C2, HDC in next 7 sts, repeat from * once more ending at **, with C2, HDC in next 5 sts, turn.
ROW 3 Rep Row 2.
ROW 4 With C1, Ch 1, HDC in next 5 sts, *with C2, HDC in next 7 sts,** with C1, HDC in next 7 sts, repeat from * once more ending at **, with C1, HDC in next 5 sts, turn.

ROUND 1 Holding wrong sides together, attach C2 in bottom corner, SC through both sides (to attach) along the edges, 3 SC in each corners. Insert pillow form before closing last edge. Sl st to attach.
ROUND 2 Ch 1, SC around with 3 SC in corners, sl st to attach. Weave in ends.
